Very nice video Elizabeth! I enjoyed the overview of the virtual world. I actually tried second life one time, but couldn't understand how to use it...so I stoped. Really enjoyed your video. I'm just trying to figure out how to do mine...I guess just powerpoint and voice...not sure. Have a great week!

When watching your video I was impressed with the quality of the work as well as the topic. One thing I was intrigued about with virtual worlds is how people spend so much time on creating a virtual object. I explored Second Life to see what all of the buzz was about and saw renditions of the Eiffel Tower and other monuments. The educational part was all of the tours you could take where you rode in a cart and received instruction. This type of environment is wonderful, though I think we are still a little behind on getting adequate technology for all users to benefit. It is amazing what we can create with technology and how we can use computers and the Internet to bring places to life many of our students will never experience.
